Ragnar Árni Ólafsson
guitarist and composer
Ragnar Árni Ólafsson is a composer and guitarist from Reykjavík, Iceland, working both there and abroad in various contexts. He's an avid collaborator, scorer, improviser, deviser, and performer of scored, improvised, videoed, electronic musics. Among his upcoming projects are a release featuring compositions based on AI text generators’ hallucinatory descriptions of music, interpreted by himself, Áslaug Magnúsdóttir (IS/DK) and Gunnar Gunnsteinsson (IS), and a television style web series produced with longtime collaborator Luke Deane (UK/NL) featuring improvisations, absurdist comedy and video art. Additionally he is currently working on his first release of solo compositions and improvisations.
